Endre Ady (1877-1919), einer der groessten ungarischen Lyriker des 20. Jahrhunderts, ist in Deutschland kaum bekannt. Der Grund dafur liegt in Adys kuhner Sprache, die eine UEbersetzung fast unmoeglich erscheinen lasst. Dem UEbersetzer gelingt es dennoch mit grossem Einfuhlungsvermoegen, die Schwierigkeiten bei der UEbertragung von Adys Lyrik ins Deutsche zu meistern. Die UEbersetzungen sind in der Tat kongenial.
