English summary: A century before the Decretum of Master Gratian and decades before the emergence of early scholasticism, the collection of canon law compiled by Bishop Burchard of Worms (1000-1025) proves that at the beginning of the 11th century it was already possible to develop a sophisticated and reflective approach to the tradition of canon law. This volume examines and analyzes the specific methods employed by Burchard, in particular when compiling questions on repentance in the 19th book of his collection. It was this part of the Decretum that linked tradition and innovation in canon law with regard to the instrument of penitence. With his Decretum and in particular through the questions that he posed, Burchard attempted to make traditional canon law applicable in practice. German description: Ein Jahrhundert vor dem Dekret des Magisters Gratian und Jahrzehnte vor dem Aufkommen der Fruhscholastik beweist die Kirchenrechtssammlung des Bischofs Burchard von Worms (1000-1025), dass bereits zu Beginn des 11. Jahrhunderts ein differenzierter und reflektierter Umgang mit der kirchenrechtlichen Tradition moglich war. Der vorliegende Band eruiert und analysiert die spezifischen Methoden, derer sich Burchard speziell bei der Kompilation des Bussfrageteils im 19. Buch seiner Sammlung bediente: Dieser Teil des Dekrets verbindet Tradition und Innovation des kirchlichen Rechts im Hinblick auf das Instrument der Busse.
