Christiane Moldenhauer investigates questions of today’s church life in which the Bible is at the center. The principle sola scriptura as the guideline of the churches of the Reformation represents the starting point for the considerations. But how does the Bible actually get its say in personal faith and in the life of the community? How can dealing with it be promoted and deepened? Although this question initially seems self-evident in a theology shaped by Reformation, it has so far only been explicitly echoed for a few fields of action in practical theological literature. For example, the application-oriented areas of pastoral care and religious education / biblical didactics deal, among other things, with the use of the Bible in congregational life. In this study, Moldenhauer elaborates practical-theological implications of a Protestant understanding of the Bible for further fields of action: After understanding the systematic and hermeneutical basics, exemplary aspects of a practical Works on Bible theology with a focus on spirituality, liturgy and community education. Current media theological aspects are also considered.
