Concrete Architecture: Design and Construction

Many contemporary building projects use concrete as their main structural material - it can be shaped and is long-lasting and economical. Yet to work successfully with this material requires great technical expertise, and experience and knowledge of highly developed techniques. In this work, 12 European projects are presented, illustrating the wide spectrum of applications for concrete construction. The examples show that concrete is not just a functional material, but can be used to meet aesthetic demands. The final part of the book includes detailed practical information on using and manufacturing concrete, as well as applications and the composition of the material.
