Ludwig Aurbacher (1784 - 1847) war im 19. Jahrhundert ein bekannter Volksschriftsteller. Sein bekanntestes Werk ist die Abenteuer der Sieben Schwaben . Bei seinen Erzahlungen griff er oft auf fruhere Texte von Zinkgref, Brandt, etc. zuruck. Er schrieb neben Erzahlungen, Marchen, Stinnspruchen auch Theaterstucke. Auch den Brudern Grimm lieferte er Marchen.
