Esta investigacion propone una metodologia para medir el conocimiento de los estudiantes de licenciatura a traves del vocabulario academico. Se construyeron dos corpus, de Nutricion y Odontologia, y se seleccionaron terminos especializados utilizando herramientas de procesamiento de corpus. Posteriormente se elaboraron dos pruebas de decision lexica. El estudio se llevo a cabo con estudiantes de nivel medio superior de dos Universidades en Queretaro, Mexico. Los resultados indican que el conocimiento de vocabulario se incrementa en relacion al semestre y es significativamente diferente entre semestres, demostrando la viabilidad de utilizar esta metodologia en la evaluacion de los programas de educacion superior.
