Stephanie Weiss untersucht erstmals das Konzept Design fur Alle als Strategie sozialer Inklusion auf der Quartiersebene. Das Inklusionskonzept wird von der Autorin empirisch anhand von drei Fallstudien zu Wohnquartieren in Deutschland, OEsterreich und der Schweiz uberpruft. In der Kombination aus stadtebaulichen und sozialplanerischen Kriterien erweitert sie das Konzept und arbeitet Perspektiven fur ein inklusives Quartier fur Alle heraus. Dabei verschrankt die Autorin Raum-, Design- und Inklusionstheorien und verknupft die Theoriekonzepte des franzoesischen Soziologen Henri Lefebvre und des Schweizer Architektur- und Planungstheoretikers Lucius Burckhardt.
