Paul Scheibelhofer beschreibt Prozesse der sozialen Herstellung und Aushandlung von Mannlichkeiten im Migrationskontext. Anhand der in OEsterreich durchgefuhrten Studie prasentiert der Autor einerseits eine differenzierte Analyse der gesellschaftlichen Bedingungen, unter denen fremde Mannlichkeit zu einem Problem gemacht und abgewertet wird. Andererseits wird auf Basis qualitativer Forschung gezeigt, welche Strategien junge migrantische Manner finden, um mit diesem gesellschaftlichen Kontext umzugehen, und welche Mannlichkeitskonstruktionen sie dabei entwerfen.
