Die Mafia-Welt des Martin Scorsese behandelt die im Mafiamilieu spielenden Filme von Martin Scorsese. Der italo-amerikanische Regisseur verarbeitete seine Kindheitserfahrungen aus dem New Yorker Stadtteil Little Italy in drei seiner insgesamt 21 Filmen. In einem kurzen geschichtlichen Abriss wird Scorseses Weg zum Regisseur sowie seine filmischen Einflsse beschrieben. Im Hauptteil folgt eine Beschreibung der realittsbezogenen Darstellung in seinen Filmen, sowie eine Analyse der drei Mafiafilme Hexenkessel von 1973, Good Fellas von 1990 und Casino von 1995. Zudem werden die Konstellationen der Filmfiguren und Scorseses persnlicher Charaktereinfluss dargestellt. Abschlieend werden technische Details, wie Kamera und Montage in seinen Filmen allgemein analysiert, um seinen Filmstil aufzuzeigen. Ziel der Arbeit ist es, dem Leser zu vermitteln, dass das Kino von Scorsese keine Fiktion ist.
