This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-workshop proceedings of the 13th International Workshop on Algebraic Development Techniques, WADT'98, held in Lisbon, Portugal, in April 1998, as part of ETAPS'98.The 21 revised full papers presented were selected during two rounds of reviewing and revision for inclusion in the book.
