English summary: This book contains the copper and bronze daggers from Bohemia and Moravia from the Bell Beaker period to the Urnfield period. The extensive introduction covers the source materials as well as the chronological position of the knives, but particular attention is paid to the casting techniques and metallurgy. In all, 700 daggers are structurally described by group, type and variety with attention given to the casting forms for blades and sheaths and mapped in 47 tables, to the greatest extent possible, according to the close investigation of the findings. A further 31 tables show important secured dagger finds, which attests to the continuing importance of daggers from the Bell Beaker period to the Urnfield period and on this account the focus rests, according to the source materials, on the older periods (the Bell Beaker period, early Bronze Age.) The clearly discernible chronological and spatial differences in the use of the different dagger types are displayed in 16 distribution maps. Finally, a fold out section shows the development of daggers in the work space.
German description: Dieser Band umfasst die Kupfer- und Bronzedolche aus Bohmen und Mahren von der Glockenbecher- bis zur Urnenfelderzeit. Nach der ausfuehrlichen Einleitung, in der ausser der Quellenlage sowie der chronologischen Stellung der Dolche besonderes Gewicht auf die Gusstechnik und die Metallurgie gelegt wird, werden insgesamt 700 Dolche, acht Gussformen fuer Dolchklingen und eine Dolchscheide in Gruppen, Typen und Varianten gegliedert beschrieben und auf 47 Tafeln, soweit moglich nach Autopsie der Fundstuecke, abgebildet. Weitere 31 Tafeln zeigen wichtige geschlossene Dolchfunde, die die kontinuierlich grosse Bedeutung der Dolche von der Glockenbecher- bis zur Urnenfelderzeit belegen; dabei liegt quellenbedingt der Fokus auf den alteren Perioden (Glockenbecherzeit, Fruehbronzezeit). Die deutlich erkennbaren zeitlichen und raumlichen Unterschiede in der Nutzung der verschiedenen Dolch-Typen bzw. -Varianten werden auf 16 Verbreitungskarten veranschaulicht. Eine Klapptafel zeigt schliesslich die Entwicklung der Dolche im Arbeitsgebiet.
