Volume 3 of the collected letters of Joseph Gorres, the famous German publicist and scholar (1776-1848), comprises the years from January 1814 to October 1819. The letters provide an intimate view on Gorres as editor of the Rheinische Merkur and on his growing confrontation with the Prussian state till his final flight to Strasbourg and his exile.
