World society is a highly complex topic. From the point of view of various disciplines, the volume opens up new approaches. The first part deals with concepts of world society from cultural-historical, philosophical, economic and sociological perspectives, then with questions, problems and perspectives based on trade, finance, migration, religion, gender diversity, human rights and international law and last but not least with the responsibility of powers. The volume provides answers to a number of questions: From what different conditions did the term come about? What role do the great powers USA, China and Russia play in this? What future prospects positive and negative are there for a world society? Are there already models for political control and resolution of the conflicts in world society? The volume shows various research perspectives that can contribute to clarifying the term and to a more perspective theory of world society, so that an overall view of the problem can be crystallized.
