De Mondeville, chirurgien de Philippe le Bel, roi de France. Avec portrait. 4. 46 pp. Leider ist diewird diese hochst schatzenswerthe Arbeit von Daremberg (i. O. P. 283 in einer Anmerkung) genannt, scheint aber leider von Haeser getnzlich iibersehen worden zu sein. Wenigstens erweihnt sie dieser Forscher weder in seinem Lehrbuch, noch hat er es der Miihe fur werth erachtet, fiber diese Monographie in den Canstatt'schen Jahresbe richten zu referiren. Zwar weiss Chereau iiber die eigent lichen Lebensschicksale Mondeville’s, wie wir spater sehen werden, auch nicht viel mehr zu berichten, als den iibrigen, oben citirten Autoren schon bekannt gewesen ist; aber da fiir gicht er, was bei den letzteren mit Ausnahme von Haeser nicht der Fall ist, nebenx einer eingehenden \viir digung der Bedeutung Mondeville’s als Mensch und Chirurg eine durchaus authentische sehr griindliche und ausfiihrliche Analyse der bis heute noch uriedirt gebliebenen Hauptschrift M ondeville’s und dazu noch einige courts extraits, pour que nos lecteurs fassent une connaissance plu’s complete avec le style et la latinite de notre ecrivain.
