Franco Dragone, creator of Cirque de Soleil , Celine Dion’s A New Day , and the Euro-Disney parade, has revolutionized the world of theater with his mesmerizing shows. His dazzling aquatic show, Le Reve, opens in Las Vegas on April 28, 2005 at mastermind Steve Wynn’s new resort. The men have collaborated with phenomenal success on Mystere at Treasure Island and O at Bellagio , which Dragone followed with Dion’s record-breaking opening at Caesars Palace. Le Reve , which assembles sixty-five artists and 2000 audience members in a spectacular but intimate theater, will be Dragone’s fourth show on The Strip, joining arguably the most successful performances in the world. Featuring photographs by the renowned Jean-Marie Perier and anecdotes from behind the scenes, this book tracks the events leading up to the performance, from the initial rehearsal in Belgium, to the artists’ arrival and on-site rehearsals in Vegas, to opening night. The text and photographs also chronicle intimate moments in the artists’ lives. A ten-part television series about the making of Le Reve is currently in production.
