The Paladin Prelude

A Melody for Murder Elora Tune's quiet existence as a traveling bard ends abruptly when she agrees to her best friend's request to join her on the road. Little does the elfish songstress know that her several decades of pleasant and easy wanderings along the edges of the Everwilding in the kingdom of Valoria are about to come to a murderous end!

The problem? Fig Marigold's passion for adventuring has been on the backburner for just as long and the widowed housegnome is making up for lost time. Despite Elora's concerns, Fig's emotional and naively optimistic outlook means finding her first adventure begins in Down's Fallow, a small town dominated by a famous Paladin as their most prominent resident.

While Elora would prefer to do her job and leave quietly at dawn as instructed by the sheriff, Fig's sense of right and wrong-and her drive to make her mark-means that she's front and center at the site of a murder that could end the gnome's career (and possibly her life!) then and there unless Elora steps in.

The trouble is, poking her nose into the business of local lawfolk means the likelihood that Elora's successful attempts to hide her famous heritage might finally fail and ruin her career forever! Can she save her friend AND her life on the road before the killer gets away with murder?
