Nulara and Narvu are the children of intergalactic royalty. Their people, known as Noburans, have traveled light-years to settle a newly discovered world. The planet is still recovering from the effects of a nuclear war that wiped out most of its life-forms. While wandering the ruins of a bombed-out city, the youth come across a strange creature known as a "human." Their family's advisor believes that all humans are dangerous, since they nearly destroyed their own planet through warfare. He hopes to build a better world than the creatures that once ruled "Earth." This might mean getting rid of any humans that remain. Once the young Noburans get to know some of Earth's people, they want to protect their newfound friends. But can they convince their royal parents that the human race is worth saving?
