One Day at a Time is a photojournal by Mei Shen (trail name Click ) about her adventures on the Appalachian Trail on the East Coast of the United States. Her journey started from late March of 2019 and ended in mid-September of the same year. Throughout her 168 days of trail time, she went through harsh snow, torrential rain, and pleasant sun. She experienced the legendary hospitality of the thru-hiking community, walked through the living history of the free spirits of the United States; and affirmed her belief in humanity, documented by stories, poems, and thousands of photos, with over 730 included in this print.
