Chattering Roots is the fourth book in the Cemetery Sitting series set in Seattle. Vernon Cannon is a new character, recently discharged from the Army, while still attending classes with the VA and he has started working as Metro Security riding the bus Rapid Line E route up and down Aurora Ave eight times a day. Coming from the projects in Miami and being in the military has given him the skills to maneuver this new occupation as long as he can come home to his house by the lake. The return of some characters such as Detective Jeffery Muncer, Detective Rubio and FBI Special Agent Fred Ford are still out investigating crime on the street, solving older cases and taking on new investigations. A few other characters have returned in this book such as Hector and Jill who is trying to navigate her return from Mexico. Raven and Little Mel are hiding with news of a child along with new characters, policing and adding crime to the streets of Seattle. This book shows us how each decision can change the outcome of life, associating with the wrong people or being in the wrong place at the wrong time, how the plans of committing a crime can turn your entire life around. It also teaches us how to navigate through every day whether it provides success, happiness, life, death, grief or the understanding of a day as we process through. Remember to celebrate you. Always acknowledge your birthday o'clock when you see it. If you are born on March 4th at 3:04 am or pm, celebrate everything about you.
