Imagine the lives of early 20th century Danish immigrants in South Dakota, Minnesota, and Iowa. Most of these stories were written by Fred Hansen, who grew up in Hecla, South Dakota, and became a veterinarian like his uncle. Fred wrote about a time long disappeared just for the joy of telling a good story. For decades they were filed and forgotten in family papers.
