A Year in the New Testament

There are 260 chapters in the New Testament. Reading five chapters a week for 52 weeks, one can read all the New Testament chapters in a year. Roger Hillis has written a summary of each chapter to accompany the Bible readings. These summaries provide insights into the text, applications for daily living, and encouragement. He includes three different reading plans. Each plan offers a different approach to your reading schedule. One can use the New Testament summaries with all three plans. While the Bible is inspired, these summaries are not. The author does not intend for these summaries to be a substitute for reading the Bible. However, by accompanying these summaries with Bible reading, one may increase their understanding of the text, find meaning for the Bible text in their life, and retain the knowledge they gain.
