"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8). Jesus' resurrection from death is the physical manifestation and most vivid reminder of the fact that, with God in charge of our lives, there is victory on the other end of suffering - it does not last forever and it is never in vain. The painful circumstances we survive are not wasted and if we surrender our pain to Him, He will not only heal us but He will ensure that whatever was meant to harm us, will be used to serve purpose in our lives and the lives of others.
As human beings, our experiences often affect not just us but at least one other person in some way. We are connected to each other by God's design. It is important then for us to focus on the roots of our pain and give more of our attention to the Only One who can heal us and make us whole. Yes, there is One who is able to do so despite the examples of care-giving you may have been shown or taught. Maybe you are against the reality of the existence of a Saviour because instead of being shown love, you were physically or emotionally abandoned, abused. You've become self-reliant, operating as your own savior..
If that's you, let this be an invitation to a new perspective because, the truth is you have never left the sight of the Heavenly Father. Though your pain may be justified due to the failings of people, even those who were appointed to care for you, God is powerful and mighty to intercept every tarnished core belief cycle and transform you into a brand new person, inside-out with new beliefs and experiences. He is able to activate your full purpose as the child that belongs to Him, capable of receiving and giving Christ-like love. It takes the indwelling of the Spirit of God which happens when we give our lives to Jesus and if you have already done so, then I challenge you to allow this book to help you to let Him in even deeper.
