The main characters in these short novels came of age in the sixties on Cloverlawn, in a working-class neighborhood outside Detroit. Joe Taylor grew up on the same block outside of Detroit where these short novels take place. He has taught writing classes, tutored, and written book reviews and short stories. His first novel, The Neapolitan Cafe, was originally published in 2017. He lives with his wife in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
