Steven is a curious young sea turtle who lives in the vibrant coral reef off Waikiki Beach. Always eager to explore the world beyond his home, Steven's adventurous spirit leads him to a surprising encounter with a United States Marine ship. When a Marine's hat is blown into the water, Steven swoops in to save the day by retrieving it, proudly wearing it as his new "Marine" hat. From that moment on, he becomes Corporal Steven, a hero among the other turtles in the reef.
Emboldened by his new title, Corporal Steven uses his quick thinking to protect his friends from a tsunami and outwit a menacing tiger shark. He faces many challenges, from racing dolphins to navigating the dangers of the deep ocean, all while wearing his Marine hat. Through his bravery and determination, Steven learns that being a Marine is about more than just wearing a hat-it's about courage, responsibility, and helping those you care about.
Steven becomes a legend in his reef, known for his heroic deeds and his heart of gold. Every time he returns from an adventure, his fellow turtles eagerly listen to his stories, and Steven proudly says, "Well, you know, being a Marine isn't easy-but someone's gotta do it!"
