Nate's cousin passes Cassie off as Nate's fiancee, and his aunt makes plans for the wedding. Nate, having made a promise to God to protect his family and his neighbors, decides to help Cassie find her way home, though he doesn't realize it involves time travel. As they spend time together, they grow close.
