The Blockade Runners

A private society made up of local political and business leaders has kept its small town secrets secure for nearly a hundred years - until the body of a man in an expensive suit washes up on the lake shore. Retired Detective "Chig" Ashe is asked to assist in the investigation, and quickly gets himself entangled deeper and deeper into a widening conspiracy. He must quickly unravel the connection between the homicide on the lake, the disappearance of a local children's shelter caretaker, and the secret society of political elites - all while dodging the impatient eye of a professional killer.
