THE EXPLOSION CHANGED EVERYTHING!
Nancy Clark is an athletic, pretty, seventeen-year-old girl who'd simply wanted to bike down Bitter Creek Road on a normal sunny Saturday when the unthinkable occurred: The Breckenridge Institute of Discovery exploded as she was biking past it.
The government funded research complex vaporized in a ball of blue light, and she was knocked off her bike from the blast. Injured and in shock, she bikes home, only to discover that no one, no one anywhere, remembers the existence of the Institute.
To make matters worse, she wakes up every single day to discover she's shifted to a new, daily, parallel universe where the human race is different each time. In one universe, everyone's an elf, and in the next, they're spider-hybrids. Each new day brings about a new challenge as she tries to adapt to the human race's new look: part bird, part snake, part jellyfish, part plant, cyborgs, or even vampires!
With her best friend, Rain Fischer, an eccentric young genius, by her side, Nancy and Rain must solve the mystery of why Nancy's the world's first dimensionaut, and more importantly, how to stop her shifting for good.
This mystery of bizarre science gone wrong is only complicated by the presence of Danny Princeton, the biggest loser, dork, and social outcast in school. Danny needs advice on how to get a girl, and Nancy takes it upon herself to help him with that monumental task in spite of her dimensional shifting. She feels she needs to because she wronged Danny, and she feels genuinely sorry for how she'd treated him in the past.
Will Nancy ever stop shifting, and will she be able to help Danny find that special someone?
D-Shift is a young adult, science-fiction, teen romance that anyone can enjoy.
