God of Chaos

When a storm washes a crippled ship into the waters of Acadia, the quiet of the exiled American government is broken. Tasked with protecting the last president of the Eastern States, an old soldier code-named FOUR sets out to investigate the wreckage. In the belly of the ship, FOUR uncovers an ark carrying much-needed supplies and a lone child, a frightened girl who bears a chilling resemblance to the daughter he lost decades ago. When FOUR discovers that this child is capable of healing from severe injury in a matter of minutes, he knows the president is in grave danger. Young people with this child's capabilities were at the center of the attack that destroyed Washington, D.C., twenty years earlier.

With Acadia compromised, the president determines that their exile must end. A small group led by FOUR and the president will journey with the child westward to the New United Nations capital to warn the world of the threat it faces.

On the run and with a price on all of their heads, the envoy from Acadia assumes cover identities and boards an experimental commercial flight, which also carries a group of young people from Detroit. The flight for all of them turns out to be a trap.
