This is a fictional book based on the Alleged USS Trepang (SSN-674) photographing UFOs in the Arctic near Jan Mayan Island in 1971. The U.S. Navy has never confirmed this ever happened. All the information supporting the story and plot is anecdotal which is widely discussed via the internet by multiple parties. Additionally, numerous photographs appear on the internet that Trepang allegedly filmed. This alien UFO incident happens simultaneously with Trepang submerged tracking of three Soviet Submarines. Additionally, Trepang has a spy aboard disclosing this information to the KGB. A Naval Intelligence Officer is onboard Trepang investigating the possible spy which adds a new dimension to the story. Thanks to the American Spy John Walker, the Soviets are reading message traffic and know Trepang is tracking their submarines, and furthermore has found these Alien Spacecraft operating in the Arctic. Eventually, Admiral Gorshkov the head of the Soviet Navy, and Admiral Vladimir Azhazha the KGB's operative inside the Soviet Navy, send K347, a Victor-1 Class Soviet SSN nuclear submarine to intercept Trepang when it is sent back out again to observe the Alien UFO's. This particular Soviet Submarine was involved in a couple of well-known incidents, including getting tangled up in an American Destroyer's Towed Array out in the Atlantic Ocean.This is a gripping story of submarine life in 1971, activities the KGB and Admiral Gorshkov were personally involved in, and it takes you back 52 years to see what life was like on an American Fast Attack Nuclear Submarine suddenly dealing with Aliens.
