The idea for this book was more than just an unforeseen wake-up call to wasted energy, it was a merger of how resources such as water, soil and a massive transportation network are taken for granted. Many rural areas lack access to grocery stores, which in turn requires in some cases traveling long distances to get food. With a greenhouse, one has control over what goes into the soil along with what goes on the plants during the growth cycle. This leaves plenty of room for improvement. At this moment I realized that here has got to be a better way.
