Token and Juju Beads

This book explores the choices we face in life-those we make and those forced upon us. It's a tribute to the people who stood by me during my darkest times, and within these pages, you'll find a glimpse of my personal journey. Through this collection, I aim to speak openly about race, equality, love, parenthood and the struggles that come with them. Many of these poems were born out of moments of deep anger, sorrow, and longing. They seek to shed light on the daily battles faced by people of color and the shared experiences of resilience and hope.
