When two former students come back to a town they grew up in, they bring more than just memories. The yearly fair that is a magnet for a dozen small towns is offering up a different spectacle in the summer of 1963. Skowhegan, Maine, the county seat, becomes a hot bed for rumors and finger-pointing, all the while the graduating class of 1964 is trying to create their own legacy. The nation as a whole during this year seems intent on forcing these kids to grow up in a hurry.

Growing up in rural Maine, blessed with seven sisters and seven brothers, he separated himself from the madness by reading and watching. Later, reading and watching continued as a teacher for thirty-two years. Since retiring and moving to Florida with his wife Carey in 2003, he has been putting those experiences on the written page. Each of my eight books tells a different story.
