Originally conceived as a unique, hand-painted book, this one-of-a-kind meditation on color and context by artist Eleonora Marton delights in the unexpected elements of life that make us whole.

Inspired by an imaginative game of free association, A Hole in the Whole presents juxtapositions of light and dark, the playful and the profound. Inside, Marton responds to over thirty-seven pairs of identical circles-contrasted and placed against bright pops of color, and increasing in size-with accompanying bits of text, sharing the connections (or surprising leaps) between them. The result is a color-drenched quest to pause and ponder that offers a whole new way of seeing and being.
