The Reverend Dr. Samson Gitau is an ordained priest in the Anglican Church of Kenya. He has served diverse congregations in and outside the Anglican Church. He served churches in the Anglican Church of Kenya, the Episcopal Dioceses of Connecticut, Massachusetts, West Tennessee, and Arkansas. Dr. Gitau has served congregations in the American Baptist Church and the United Methodist Church in Boston, Massachusetts. In addition to church ministry, Dr. Gitau is a biblical scholar specializing in the Hebrew Bible and ancient Near Eastern Literature. He has performed a variety of ministries as parish priest, principal of a theological college, Director of Theological Education by Extension, Director of the college ministry, and college professor, where he has taught a wide variety of courses in religion. Dr. Gitau is a Christian writer and has published a variety of books and articles. Some of his publications include One Boat One Destiny, A Study in the Book of Jonah; Breaking the Shackles: Contemporary Perspectives in Paul's Letter to the Galatians; Under the Wings, A Study in the Book of Ruth; Pitfalls: A Case for College Ministry; Without Cause: Job finds God in Pain and Suffering; and Pressing On: Determination that Defies Discouragement.
