Baby boomer, attorney Paul Cooper is passed over for a well-earned promotion to a position he created at County Counsel. The boss even has the gall to tell Paul to get a hobby instead. Yet, ever the company man and eager to prove them all wrong, Paul takes up guitar after getting encouragement from his college-age daughter.

Having heard at the guitar store that "chicks dig licks" Paul believes he's also found the way to finally win the affection of Tami, his "I can't live with-out her" dream girl, who is also his younger, gold-digging, trophy-wife. Naturally, she's totally, bat-shit crazy against the idea and demands he become a superior court judge, or she'll leave him. What's the poor `ol boy to do?
