As the pastor of New Hope Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi, he has provided compassionate and wise leadership since 1980. Dr. Young has served as the President of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc., since 2014 and is an active member of the Board of Trustees at Belhaven College and Rust College in Mississippi. He was previously the President of the General Missionary Baptist State Convention of Mississippi, Incorporated.
