COVID COMMUNITY & COCKTAILS is volume one of the three-part COVID & Community Series

Eleven people of different ages, socioeconomic groups, ethnicities, and political affiliations share intimate details of how they were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and how collectively they became an unexpected, vibrantly diverse, and inclusive community during one of the darkest times in history.

This volume reminds us of the power of intention. Real estate developer Robert Schulman desired to build a resort-style property with an onsite restaurant that permitted residents to feel like they were on vacation every day. Becca’s restaurant became residents daily gathering place during the darkest days of COVID.

The COVID & Community Series intends to remind us of the power diverse and inclusive communities have to endure and overcome adversity.

Social Issues Theatre presents the COVID & COMMUNITY Series, affectionately known as (SIT), as part of SIT’s Mental Wellness and Community Unity effort.

SIT is a nonprofit whose mission is to move diversity and inclusion from a conversation into a reality by bringing society together one line at a time.
