Whether we talk to children about death or not, it is an inevitable reality of life. We often want to shelter children from many harsh realities of life, particularly death. However, young children certainly need a safe space to speak about their emotions concerning loss, whether it is the death of a loved one, their pet, or any other form of loss. This book is an excellent way to engage children in conversations about the topic of death.

When Ms. Lou B goes to the doctor, she learns that she has a serious illness and that she only has a few more months to live. She doesn't know how to break this awful news to her daughter. Yet Ms. Lou B finds a way to help Little Miss Linda understand. With their hearts broken, they both decide to make every second count from now on.
