An inherited farmland. A decades-old murder. Lost love.

Working cowboy Caleb Atwood returns from the mountains of the west to the town of his birth. While drawn home by a high school reunion, a recent inheritance from his enigmatic uncle is what keeps him there. The inheritance is a farm that comes with a last wish that Caleb carry out his uncle's instructions, which lead him to an age-old mystery involving the death of a deputy sheriff.

Caleb's return sparks the discovery of family history, the renewal of a deep romance, and the building of a new life in the mountains of northwest Arkansas. While reconnecting with the landscape of his youth, he reunites with a best friend as well as a myriad of colorful characters from his past.

Caleb lives with the presence of God in his daily life, a presence discovered in a wilderness sojourn of his younger years that has continued throughout his life. As he completes the transition to the home of his youth, he confronts inherited challenges and the dormant love of his youth while discovering each door that the Lord has opened.
