Challenges of the Heart is set in a post-World War II environment where a hard-working mother faces the war death of her husband and the need to survive. In 1950 new fortune falls upon the McClure family which take them from New York City to a cattle ranch in Sheridan, Wyoming. The McClure’s are faced with adjusting to ranch life and the Shoshone Indian tribe. The key to the family’s success is an ex-Dodger pitcher who manages the ranch and provides a father type image for the kids. They endure many highs and lows including, love, crime, friendships, violence, and the caring of others while adjusting to the western culture. The oldest son has a beautiful God given voice and challenges confront him on his journey to Nashville.
