Reggie Scales is a four-year-old monster who lives with his mother and father, Alva and Bud, and an older sister, Prissy. The Scales live in one of the many tunnel homes that make up the town of Tunnelville, which is just outside the big city. Reggie is beginning pre-school and Prissy is starting second grade. Reggie will tell you that he is not afraid of school or anything else; except for being alone, shadows, thunder and lightning, creepy noises, nighttime, broccoli, monsters that make fun of his eyeglasses, and spooky kids that hide under his bed! A kid hiding under his bed is what this tale is about.
John J Schmidt is emeritus professor of counselor education at East Carolina University and the author of many books in professional counseling. Jack and his wife, Patricia, have been married over 50 years and enjoy traveling and spending time together.
Evelyn M Bergquist is a graduate of Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she studied Behavioral Health Counseling with a minor in Fine Arts. In addition to art, she also enjoys composing and playing music with her band.
