Lofa is excited to get her wings and learn how to fly! One day she begins the search for answers to flying. She hears many different ideas and wonders if she will ever find the answers she is looking for.

Sara Tafere Barnes writes and illustrates children’s books. The inspiration for her artwork comes from childhood memories of celebrations, songs, dance, and storytelling in Ethiopia, where she was born. Sara currently resides in Seattle, Washington, with her daughter, who is her first audience for her children’s stories. She studied Visual Arts at North Seattle.
