This book is a caregiver resource guide to help you navigate your new norm of caring for your elderly parents. Specifically, this book is geared towards the "sandwich generation," typically in their 30s and 40s, who are raising their children and taking care of aging parents. This book is also geared towards the "club sandwich generation," typically in your 50s and 60s, who may be caring for your parents, adult children, and grandchildren. We have addressed specific areas of responsibility that come with the tasks associated with this growing phenomenon. Among the issues addressed are the medical and emotional needs and financial concerns of caring for your elderly parents/relatives. Most important, we have also highlighted the needs of the caregiver, which are so often overlooked.
I have taken two (2) years of taking care of our Dad and all that we've had to research, learn, and adapt to, and condensed it into what I hope is a resourceful tool that will help someone navigate going, "From Child To Caregiver."
