An explanation and biblical evaluation of four answers
The great debate over the Rapture is "When will it occur?" There are four answers to that question. Pre-tribulationists believe it happens before the seven-year Tribulation, which is before the Second Coming of Christ. Mid-tribulationists claim it is in the middle of those seven years of the Tribulation. Pre-Wrath advocates contend that it will take place somewhere between the middle and the end of the Tribulation. Post-tribulationists argue that the Rapture is after the Tribulation.
The answer to this question is complex because it involves many different issues. For starters, the challenge is the interpretation of such passages as the Olivet Discourse in Matthew 24-25, Paul's description in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-5:9, Paul's discussion in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-8, Jesus' statements in John 14:1-3 and Revelation 3:10, etc. Then, some topics must be examined, such as the last trumpet, the Day of the Lord, cosmic disturbances, the resurrection, the judgments, the expression "the end," etc.
In the Rapture Question: When Will it Occur, G. Michael Cocoris simply explains and biblically evaluates each of the four answers concerning the time of the Rapture. He concludes with Paul's practical application of this vital spiritual truth.
