Why bother remember the bad ones? Dee took that lesson to heart and she took that neighbor, Miss Ida, into her heart. Years later, Miss Ida needs her. Dee drops everything to go home to Erie, PA, despite her fiance's objections. Because Miss Ida was more than an old neighbor, her first employer or even the December part of a May-December friendship. Miss Ida was family.

Dee goes home and rediscovers not only old memories, she finds new ones that just might change the direction of her life.
