Occurrence at Latigo

Dryland farming in the Texas hill country was never easy. The ranchers considered it cow country, and there was no law in the town of Latigo. When a Texas Ranger rides into town followed by a gang of outlaws, there is death in the streets and the saloon - but the outlaw leader gets away. The farmer is gone buying seed for next year’s crop when the rogue Texas Ranger rapes the farmer’s young bride. In order to track down the villain, the farmer joins forces with a hostile rancher who lost his half-bred wife to a different band outlaws years before. In a race across Texas for justice, the farmer, a former Confederate officer, and the rancher search for the Ranger and truth.
