A young cat and a young falcon each have big dreams, but for different reasons are unable to carry them out in the ways they imagined. For the cat, she wants to create a grand, beautiful farm, but she is uninterested in putting in the long, tedious labor necessary to bring about her vision. For the falcon, the problem is the opposite. She cares so much about helping other creatures that she forgets to care for her own basic needs. In a fun, childlike way, these two fables explore both sides of our own relationships with work. Some tend to avoid hard work, always looking for the easy way out. Others care so much that they take on far more than they healthily can. And for many of us, we do some of both in our own ways. For everything there is a balance, and these stories tell the different ways the cat and the falcon learn this balance through their own mistakes.
