For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give
you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
The desire of Voices of Hope (VOH) is to bring healing and hope to other women. The founders of the VOH events, Dena Schrock and Lizzie Hershberger, created a platform where women can openly share their stories and shed God’s light on all kinds of trauma and abuse, especially within the Amish community. Throughout the pages of this book, women talk about the dark days they’ve endured but also reveal their journeys of
overcoming and walking in healing and freedom.
Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).
The mission of Voices of Hope is to unite women to share their God-given talents free of judgment, to reveal
their true desires, to encourage them to accomplish their goals, and to believe in themselves for they are
fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Each one of us has a bright future if we believe the promises
our Creator has given us.
