The Kingdom of God is founded on the coming of Jesus Christ, our permanent sacrifice and perfect example. As devoted members of His Kingdom, sacrifice is our Christian heritage as well as our challenge to grow in Christ-likeness. For us, then, what does a sacrificial life look like? It begins, most notably, with living from an eternal perspective - a life lived with Heaven and others in mind. Just as Jesus encountered the weight of the cross, we all face pivotal moments when we must choose between self and sacrifice. And, forward movement in the Kingdom of God rests on our response. Deborah Stricklin is an author, Bible teacher, and credentialed minister with the Assemblies of God. She finds some of her greatest joy in challenging, inspiring, and equipping fellow believers to pursue their greater purpose in the Kingdom of God. Deborah and her husband, Jeff, have been serving their home church, Cornerstone Nashville, and their community for over 22 years.
