Marian Carstairs was finally going on a vacation. The little town located a few miles from her cabin came into view and she automatically reached for the grocery list she had prepared for her three-week stay. Marian stopped at the little store to purchase her groceries she brought them to the counter and, as soon as they were purchased, she gathered several bags and headed towards the door when it opened suddenly.
Marian stopped and stared at the man that entered. He was tall, looked like he was in his late forties and used two canes to walk. Brian Mason moved slowly through the door and stared at the woman blocking his path. He knew he should move aside but was spellbound and he didn’t know why. He couldn’t put an age to her but she looked to be at least in her late forties.
Mrs. Meghan watched as Marian and Brian stared at each other and felt hope in her heart. If anyone needed someone, it was these two.
Does Fate lend a hand when we really need it or was this just one of those times where Marian and Brian were in the right place at the right time?
